Supporting the families behind international and major life transitions
International relocation is often managed through a series of practical tasks. Visas are arranged, accommodation is found, school places are secured and employees are prepared for a new role.

For the family involved, however, the transition does not end when those arrangements are complete.
Children may be adapting to a different school system, rebuilding friendships, learning unfamiliar social expectations and trying to maintain a connection with the life they have left behind. Parents may be managing their own adjustment while also trying to recognise what their children need. In some families, difficulties do not become visible until several weeks or months after the move.
Little Bridges Global is developing psychologically informed resources and organisational support designed to complement the practical side of transition with a better understanding of the family experience.
The organisational pathway is intended for schools, employers, Global Mobility teams, relocation providers and other organisations whose work affects children and families during significant periods of change.
International schools
Schools are often one of the first places where the effects of relocation become visible.
A newly arrived pupil may be adapting to different routines, academic expectations, friendship groups and cultural norms at the same time. Even children who appear confident may be dealing privately with loss, uncertainty or a reduced sense of competence in an unfamiliar environment.
Some pupils establish friendships quickly. Others take considerably longer to develop a sense of safety and belonging.
Little Bridges Global aims to support schools with resources that help parents and young people understand this transition more clearly.
Potential areas of organisational work may include parent resources, transition materials, Little Bridges Global publications and future resources designed for internationally mobile pupils and families.
Employers, HR and Global Mobility teams
An international assignment affects more than the employee who accepts the role.
A partner may be leaving a career, support network or familiar environment. Children may be changing schools, friendships, languages and routines. The employee may then be trying to manage the demands of a new role while the family is still finding its footing.
This does not mean that employers should become responsible for the emotional wellbeing of every family member. It does mean that relocation support can be more complete when it recognises that family adjustment is one part of the wider assignment experience.
Little Bridges Global is developing resources that may complement existing Global Mobility and HR support, particularly for parents preparing children for relocation and navigating the first months following arrival.
Potential organisational use may include parent publications, family-resource materials and future structured relocation-support packages.
Relocation companies
Relocation providers often work closely with families during one of the busiest and most demanding stages of an international move.
Housing, schools, transport, documentation and other practical support are essential. Families may also benefit from guidance around preparing children, understanding early adjustment and responding when difficulties emerge after the practical move is complete.
Little Bridges Global can explore ways of incorporating psychologically informed family resources into relocation services without expecting relocation professionals themselves to provide therapeutic support.
This may include bulk publications, family resources and, as the Little Bridges Global collection develops, appropriately structured licensed materials.
Other organisations supporting children and families
Little Bridges Global is also open to relevant conversations with organisations whose work involves children, parents, international mobility, family transition, identity, belonging or related areas.
Potential collaborations are considered individually because the needs of a school, employer, relocation provider or family-support organisation can be very different.
The starting point is therefore understanding the organisation, the families it supports and the gap it is trying to address.
The First 90 Days for organisations
A practical parent resource for international relocation

The First 90 Days: A Parent Guide to Helping Your Child Thrive After Moving Abroad is the first major publication from Little Bridges Global.
The book is written primarily for parents and focuses on the early weeks and months following international relocation. It looks at adjustment across different developmental stages and explores issues including loss, school transition, friendships, emotional regulation, identity, belonging and parent-child connection.
The purpose is to help parents understand what may be happening beneath a child’s behaviour and make more informed decisions about how to respond.
For organisations supporting relocating families, the book may provide a useful complement to practical relocation information.
Bulk copies
Organisations can enquire about bulk copies of The First 90 Days for the families they support.
Bulk arrangements will be considered according to factors including:
quantity;
delivery destination;
intended use;
organisation type;
whether the books will be provided directly to families or incorporated into a wider programme.
Organisational pricing will be quoted separately rather than using ordinary individual consumer pricing.
Developing family-resource packages
As the Little Bridges Global resource collection grows, there is potential to create more structured family-support packages.
For example, a relocation package could eventually combine a parent publication with age-appropriate resources for children or teenagers.
These packages will only be introduced once the underlying resources are complete and suitable for organisational use.
Little Bridges Global will not create artificial bundles simply to increase the number of products offered. Each package should have a clear purpose and be relevant to the families receiving it.
Future packages may be particularly relevant to international schools, relocation organisations and employers supporting internationally mobile families.
Institutional digital licensing
Digital resources used by organisations require a different model from resources purchased by individual consumers.
Little Bridges Global therefore does not provide organisations with unrestricted consumer PDF files by default.
Where suitable digital resources become available, institutional licensing may be offered under defined terms.
A licence may specify:
the organisation authorised to use the material;
the number of families, employees or pupils covered;
the duration of the licence;
permitted internal distribution;
restrictions on copying, redistribution or publication;
renewal terms;
language or territory where relevant.
This enables organisations to use Little Bridges Global resources legitimately while protecting the intellectual property and long-term development of the materials.
Licensing terms and prices will depend on the particular resource, audience, scale and intended use.
School and relocation-support resources
Little Bridges Global is developing a broader organisational pathway that may include family-resource packages, school and relocation-support materials and appropriately structured institutional licensing as those services and resources become available.
Potential future areas include:
family preparation before an international move;
school-entry and early-adjustment resources;
parent communication;
child and adolescent belonging;
moving between international schools;
resources for families during the first months following relocation;
support materials for organisations preparing internationally mobile families.
Resources intended for professional settings will be developed for a defined purpose rather than simply taking a consumer product and relabelling it for organisations.
Why the family experience matters
A relocation can be completed successfully from an operational perspective while still being difficult for the family involved.
A child may have a school place and still feel that they do not belong there. A parent may have all the practical information they need and still be unsure how to respond when their child becomes anxious or wants to return home. An employee may be settling successfully into a new position while their partner or children are finding the wider transition much harder.
These circumstances do not mean that an organisation has failed.
They do suggest that family adjustment deserves recognition as part of the wider relocation experience.
Thoughtfully chosen resources can help parents understand what is happening, prepare more effectively and recognise when additional support may be useful.
Little Bridges Global is intended to contribute to this part of the transition rather than replace the logistical, educational or professional services organisations already provide.
A developing organisational offer
Little Bridges Global is building its organisational work gradually.
At this stage, the intention is not to publish a large fixed catalogue of corporate packages before understanding what organisations actually need.
Some may be interested only in providing The First 90 Days to relocating families. Others may eventually require age-specific resources, family-support packages or institutional licensing.
For that reason, an organisational conversation should begin with the need rather than the product.
Useful information includes:
the type of organisation;
the countries or regions involved;
who the organisation supports;
approximate number of families, pupils or employees;
the type of transition involved;
the support already provided;
the gap the organisation is trying to address;
whether the requirement is immediate or part of a future programme.
Little Bridges Global can then determine whether an existing resource is suitable or whether the enquiry belongs within future organisational development.
Organisational enquiry

support@littlebridgesglobal.comOrganisational pricing
Organisational pricing depends on what is being requested.
Factors may include:
number of copies or users;
resource format;
delivery destination;
duration of any licence;
redistribution rights;
language or territory;
level of adaptation required;
intended organisational use.
For this reason, bulk purchasing, licensing and tailored organisational arrangements are quoted separately.
Little Bridges Global does not publish a low-cost unrestricted institutional PDF option because digital organisational use requires appropriate licensing terms.
Working internationally
Little Bridges Global has been created with international families in mind and is intended to develop across different countries and professional environments.
English is the primary language for the initial international organisational pathway. Additional languages can be introduced as the wider Little Bridges Global platform and resource collection develop.
Because schools, employers and relocation organisations work within different legal, educational and cultural environments, collaborations requiring significant adaptation or formal licensing are considered individually.
Start with the families you support
You do not need to decide in advance which Little Bridges Global product or package your organisation needs.
The most useful starting point is to tell us about the families you support, what transition they are experiencing and what you would like to improve about the support currently available to them.
From there, we can determine whether an existing Little Bridges Global resource is appropriate or whether the enquiry relates to an area still in development.
